Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. In the year 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was made available by La Industria Inc., a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. This album peaked at eight in the Top Latin Albums charts. Following that year, he collaborated with Ozuna in The Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He released in 2020 his second album charting Dopamina as well as co-produced Mala Influencia along with Noriel. He appeared in 2021 in a duo with TINI for her hit music video Maldita Foto. in 2023 the single the smash hit La Bachata was released. Turizo's mother and brother were musicians at the time he was born. He has said in interviews that music is a must. As a child, he was taught to play the piano, saxophone as well as guitar. His original plan of action was to become a vet However, his brother Julian convinced him to study how to sing under a Cuban instructor.
